THE 16^TH ASSALCO-ZOOMARK REPORT PRESENTED AT ZOOMARK

The sixteenth edition of the Assalco-Zoomark Report, which documents the evolution of the pet food and pet care market in Italy, was presented at the inaugural conference of Zoomark. 

The picture taken by the Report shows an increasingly deep relationship between Italians and their pets.

Present in more than 40% of households, of which they are considered full members, pets total almost 65 million: around 9 million dogs, 10 million cats, almost 30 million fish, 13 million birds and more than 3 million small mammals and reptiles.

And the value of the relationship with humans is increasingly evident, so much so that the recent 'seniors' bill delegates the Government to promote active ageing through the relationship with pets.
