PET VILLAGE

Zoomark is back in a big way. What news do you have in store for visitors to your stand at BolognaFiere?
We have to be a force of optimism about the market and good at presenting what's new. Our approach is positive and the thing I most like about shows is the fact that all those involved in the industry want to come together. There are always advantages to doing a show, especially a consolidated event that gives us the opportunity to improve on past performance. In our sector – hygiene products and the pet's environment – we will as always be presenting new products that can improve the performance of stores. The "Inodorina" brand has huge margins for development both in Italy and abroad.

Why do you think it is important to take part in Zoomark? What are your expectations and what are your goals?
Zoomark is a must this year in Europe, and the most important event for the Italian market. It is important to be there, and it is important that the organizers reach out to all kinds of professionals, from small to major players. Because together we offer something for everyone. I would suggest organizing activities that involve the neighbouring areas: this is a part of the country that has a lot to offer and should not be overlooked. If we draw a circle with Bologna in the middle and spokes going out to cities like Padua, Florence, Pesaro, Modena and the whole of the Emilia region – it's important to reach out to as many professionals as possible in those areas, who can visit the show in a day.

Can you tell me about your vision of the pet market: what are your predictions for the industry from now to Zoomark 2023? What challenges await us in the coming months and what opportunities?
In the current situation of great market turbulence, I would say: let's not stop at the market alone. We need to take all the opportunities offered by an extraordinary event like Zoomark, and I think it would be beneficial to reposition the show as a key event in terms of continuing education. It works abroad: shopkeepers make an investment, travel to the show and are given the resources to explore all the technical topics that interest them.
