It was in the decades of breeding (and feeding) American Akitas that MaoriPet was created. Over the course of those years, we tried and used various brands of food for our dogs, but we always seemed to find a problems - dealing with both issues with their metabolism (loose stools, malabsorption, etc.) and food-allergy dermatitis. After one-too-many trials of different lines and brands of dog food, we felt the “right” formula had yet to be created, so we decided to try and design it ourselves. 

We sought out and selected formulas and ingredients with extremely high quality characteristics, that couldn’t be found elsewhere. Once we had created a food for our dogs that we truly believed in, we decided to put it on the market and share what we believe is a product of the highest nutritional value. 

MaoriPet has a holistic view on the formulas of food we have developed. We believe that a high-quality dog food requires a combination of specific, individual elements that only together can give life to a product of the most superior quality which span the process of it’s creation - from ingredients to the finished product:

Fresh Meat & Fish - Easy to Digest

The substantial amount fresh meat and fish in our lines (there is more than 60% in our Grain Free Puppy Dry Food) allows your dogs to have access to a meal with high nutritional value in an even more digestible and natural form with minimal processing. 

Production Under Strict Sanitation and Regulation

We guarantee that MaoriPet dry food is produced with high quality standards and verify the quality of all raw materials used, as well as pertain to the strict levels of sanitary control along the entire chain of our production. 

The Newest Technology for Fresh & Natural Ingredients

We use the new "Freshtrusion" technology for the production of our Grain Free dry food. This technology allows for the kibble to be composed solely of fresh and raw ingredients and minimal processing, as well as: 

•  A more "natural" diet - based on the knowledge of a natural canine diet in the wild
• High levels of nutrients and antioxidants;
• A stronger taste and flavor even in a dry food thanks to the use of these natural ingredients.
