Farmina Pet Foods is a company involved in animal nutrition for over 50 years, it was 1965 when Dr. Francesco Russo founded the Russo Mangimi company.

In 1999 Dr. Angelo Russo, the founder's son, grasped the potential of the pet food industry and decided to operate in this market starting a collaboration with English Farmina Pet Foods that some years later he will acquire. The positive response of the market led the company to invest in technological systems and in research and development until the establishment of Farmina Vet Research (a team of veterinarians and nutrition experts) and the support to important research institutes, to realize scientific publications in leading journals such as the British Journal of Nutrition of University of Cambridge.

In 2018, an innovative plant dedicated to the production of wet food was inaugurated in Serbia.  

Today the company is present in the market with 7 product lines dedicated to dry and wet food: Natural & Delicious Prime, Ancestral Grain, Pumpkin, Quinoa and Ocean, Vetlife Natural (Clinical Nutrition Natural Diets) and Matisse and 5 lines dedicated only to dry food Cibau, Ecopet, Fun Dog and Fun Cat, TeamBreeder line (dedicated to breeders) and distributes its products in more than 62 countries worldwide.
